hi!
i'm gene, a self-proclaimed "jack-of-all-trades", attempted fun-haver, and professionally, mostly-autodidact AI engineer.
most of what i've learned comes from the internet, hands-on projects, and a ton of trial and error. i'm a firm believer in the power of self-directed learning and the importance of building things that matter by "making do with what you have", and making knowledge and tools accessible to anyone.
a brief update: this site is currently under renovation. there're a ton of new projects and content all waiting to be released--stay tuned! in the meantime, catch my latest article here:

some projects:

ai-aided semantic search tool for ultra-specific bookmarked social media posts from natural language requests. image search coming soon <3 update: briend's been gutted and rebuilt as "untitled-project-1"--you can find it below. it works much better, and supports image search!
multi-swarm
distributed compute + inference platform
students at mvs can host and request compute resources from each other to run on-demand inference, or donate compute resources to the swarm. service is open only to students, but take a gander
biohacking
